Assembly of Statically indeterminate structure completed in section Albolote-Santa Fé
  • Thursday, 16 February 2017

Last September, the works for the assembly of the Viaduct 8+340 of Spanish A-44 motorway (also known as Autovía de Sierra Nevada in Spanish) were completed. Section: Albolote (link with A-92 motorway) - Santa Fe (link with A-329 motorway) in Granada, Spain.

ALBOLOTE 1

This project was carried out by the joint venture UTE SANTA FE, consisting of the companies Construcciones Vera and Copisa. The Viaduct 8+340 is a statically indeterminate structure made up of 4 decks with two spans, each being 11.40 m wide. This was solved by means of BOX girders with a variable depth between 1.60 m and 2.60m, and lengths ranging between 42.00 and 47.00 m, depending on the span. These girders weigh about 200T each, which requires a more complex and precise assembly process.

In this project, PACADAR collaborated in the manufacture of precast elements for additional isostatic and statically indeterminate structures by the use of BOX girders and U-girders.

Despite the complexity of the structure, PACADAR’s experience and commitment guarantees the best results.
