Elements developed from precast box girders.

These are different pieces that, when placed abutting each other crosswise, achieve the effect of a single very wide beam.

They allow multi-cell decks to be created (with more rigid cores than prefabricated elements).

Sections made up of 2 or 3 elements.

Deck widths ranging from 12.0 to 20.0 m.

Use in isostatic and statically indeterminate set-ups with spans of 20.0 to 40.0 m.

Option of reaching larger spans of up to 60.0 m by using abaci or capitals on piers.

• Depths between 1.20 and 2.55 m.
• Lower part of elements measuring 2.20 to 2.75 m wide.
• Closed cellular sections with great torsional inertia are achieved.

• Bridges with unique constraints requiring the appearance of a continuous span deck: junctions, decks in urban environments or in unique settings.
• High speed train (AVE) bridge decks with widths of 14.0 m, using 2 beams.
• Road or rail bridge decks measuring 18.0 m wide, using 3 beams.

No need for transverse joints between beams.

Separation between element axes measuring 4.5 m.

Use of a single support at each end of the beam.

Option of creating prestressed or post-tensioned pieces.

Cantilever support on 4 temporary or permanent points.

Decks with variable depth slabs using permanent or temporary struts or a variable edge truss.

• Similar to a continuous span deck in appearance.
• These elements provide good torsional stiffness as it is possible to create multi-cell cores.
